Kingspan's Winning Streak

The Holywell based manufacturer beat off stiff competition to receive the Windpower Wales Green Award in recognition of the significant effort into carbon reduction and investment in renewable technology that has been made by the company.

 

The Awards, hosted by the Daily Post, were held at Bangor University at a lavish gala dinner attended by some of the brightest and best businesses in North and Mid Wales. Intended to highlight outstanding performance and to recognise innovation, the Awards cover all sectors and competition is fierce.

 

For the Green Award, judges were looking for good environmental or sustainability practice beyond what is required by legislation. Collecting the Award on behalf of Kingspan, Plant Manager Donal Murphy commented “We are incredibly proud of what has been achieved at the Holywell site and across the company in general, but it wouldn’t be possible without the total commitment and teamwork demonstrated by all our staff. It is fantastic to have this recognised by such a prestigious Award.
