These large buildings needed to look attractive, they also needed to be built quickly and to a strict budget, whilst also complying with all the health and safety regulations required of large occupancy buildings.

Bio Base Europe
The training centre for Bio Base Europe needed to be a leading centre, not only for bio-training but also for sustainability. The requirements for the building were that it was visually striking and very thermally efficient. Kingspan's insulated panels met both of those criteria.

Broadaxe Business Park in Powys was a new site of industrial units commissioned by the Welsh Development Agency. The aim was to create a fresh, modern look whilst also fitting in with the existing buildings on the site.

Chatterley Valley
The Blue Planet building near Newcastle-under-Lyme is a £50m logistics centre in North Staffordshire. Delivering a sustainable building was a priority and so through the efforts of the developers and Kingspan, it has become the first ever building to achieve a BREEAM “Outstanding” rating. Dunbrody Visitor Centre
The Dunbrody visitor centre in New Ross has been transformed with a new, €1.3 million extension, allowing a deeper insight into the history of Irish emigration to America. The 800m2 extension which overhangs the River Barrow, makes full use of Kingspan Benchmark’s Ceramic Granite facade to provide the building with a striking final exterior.

Massive rises in energy bills over recent years have made the refrigeration and storage of produce an increasingly costly part of modern farming. Mill Street Student Accommodation
The typical student accommodation can be run-down Victorian houses or dreary 1970s apartment blocks, so when designing a new apartment block for Leeds students, Halliday Clark wanted a new, fresh, eye-catching design that would create a real point of difference around the city. Kingspan panels offered the perfect product which could embody the style and colour that the architects had envisaged.

Mintjes Renovation
40,000 m2 of corrugated asbestos make way for insulated roof panels for an oak furniture manufacturer in Holland.
The famous oak furniture specialist Charles Mintjens from Westmalle produces and stores quality furniture
and materials on an impressive site of 35 hectares, of which 14.5 hectares are covered buildings.
140,000 m2 of the roof was covered with corrugated asbestos cement, which required several processes to make way for a new and modern roof construction with insulated roof panels.

Morrisons Bridgwater
Morrisons’ South West Regional Distribution Centre (RDC) is a 59 acre goods facility at Bridgwater in Somerset, that uses innovative solar PV and insulated panel technology from Kingspan Insulated Panels to create one of Europe’s most energy efficient logistics facilities.

Morrisons Ordsall
Over 4500m2 of Topdek from Kingspan have been installed on the roof of a new Morrisons store in Ordsall, Manchester, forming a key part of a multi-million pound regeneration program in the area.

NCP car park
The new 794-space, multi-storey NCP car park in Bolton Town Centre utilised Kingspan Insulated Panels to create colour interest and deliver a reduced carbon footprint.

Thermabrick
A warehouse was required for a business in North Wales which was situated in a conservation area. There were also strict timescales for construction and the building needed to blend into exisiting surroundings. Thermabrick provided the perfect solution, costing the same as a brick and block construction but with a completion date of 19 days earlier.

NRA Service Station
The first motorway services stations in Ireland needed to be modern, functional and robust. There were three sites with six buildings in total, all needing to provide modern facilities with an aesthetically appealing design.
Kingspan panels provided the right look and ease of constuction, whilst also giving peace of mind that the high levels of insulation and fire performance easily met the requirements of the site.

Perth & Kinross Council, within their design requirements, recommended that their new community campuses be designed to a high standard with a clear community focus and a unity and identity. Tesco in Maynooth
Tesco's flagship store in Maynooth, Country Kildare is the largest in Eire and so it needed to be visually welcoming with high performance products that would be easy and quick to install. A wide range of Kingspan products were used to create the finished effect, including the Woodtherm on the walls from the Benchmark range and the Topdek on the roof.

The Savoy Hotel
The prestigious and world-reknown hotel The Savoy in London has undergone a £multi-million refurbishment and has now opened its doors again to the public.
The new hotel wanted to retain its traditional glamour but benefit from the advances in the latest construction methods and materials. Sustainable construction, improved efficiency and better thermal performance were all elements that Kingspan could offer to the new building.

Zip Textiles
Based just two miles from Birmingham city centre, Zip, a leading supplier of linen and workwear to hotels and restaurants wanted to double its factory and laundry space. The company had a number of stipulations for their new purpose-built base, including low maintenance and sustained performance in high humidity conditions. Two of our innovative products were perfect for the requirements: Longspan for the walls and Lo-pitch for the roof.
